I have Tally 7.2, but I have purchase new Laptop and in this Windows 7 home basic

In this system tally 7.2 is not working

can any one have proper solution/suggestions

30 May 2012 uninstall the software first.
Reboot the system.
go to setup file and right click on the setup.exe or Install.exe
Select Properties (Last option)'
select compatibility the second tab
select change setting for all user.
by selecting this the same window with administrator privilege will open.
select the check box "run this program in compatibility mode for"
select the check box "Run this program as an administrator"
select ok
Now run this file.
when setup completed then again do the following.

right click on the tally icon and select third option "open file location"
this will open the installation folder and select the tally exe file.
right click on the file and select properties.
select second tab "compatibility"
select "change setting for all users"
in the new opened window select check box run this program in compatibility for
and
select the check box run the program as an administrator.
press ok

This must solve your problem.
