15 March 2015 Hello Experts,

My attempt is in may 2016 so whether I have to prepare Old Syllabus or New Syllabus ?

16 March 2015 It is suggested to prepare as per new syllabus. It would be more close to the industry.

As institute said that they will continue both the course Old one and new one.
So is there any procedure to switch to new course from old course ?

26 July 2025 For CA Final May 2016 attempt, you had the option to appear under either the Old Syllabus or the New Syllabus since ICAI allowed both for that cycle.

Key points:
ICAI continued both syllabi (Old and New) for May 2016 attempt.

If you had already registered under the Old Syllabus, you could switch to New Syllabus by applying to ICAI before the last date for registration.

You needed to submit a request or application to ICAI to switch, following their instructions.

You had to make sure you understood the differences in subjects and exam pattern between the two syllabi.

My suggestion:
If you want to switch, contact your regional ICAI office or check their official notifications to get the exact process and deadlines.
