Surrender of COP---------Urgent????????

Can somebody tell me solution of under given problem:-

A ca hold COP and after some time he was selected for gvt. job. Can some body tell me what he do now.

Whether it is mendatory for him to surrender cop, if yes what kind of form formality he has to done.

Whether he can hold part time cop, if yes what kind of form formalities he has to done.
