Short term capital gain

02 April 2016 Hello all.. I'm an investor and my total investment is 1 lakh in equity.. i made 16000 short term capital gain and incurred 18000 short term capital loss.. I'm a student so no other earnings.. kindly advice on my taxability and should i file returns for this?

02 April 2016 You need not file ITR as your income do not cross basic exemption limit.

But if u get informative notice, you will have to file itr .
