I want to do articleship on secondment basis,but my employer is saying that there are lots of formalities involved.Is it so?If yes then what are these?

Is there any reporting on regular basis also between the principal employer and the employer under which secondment to be done?

No. reporting to the member under whom the articles is seconded. The same will be merged while preparing articles completion form.
