whether AO has the Power to ask for additional ground U/s 154 Such as House Property detail, Details of his Partnership Firm etc etc. as sec 154 deals with mistake apparent from Record

Hi Anjani, If there is any primafacie mistake in the return furnished by you , as regard the claim of house property then he can ask for the details. If there is no mistake in the housing benefits claimed by you in the return of income, then AO can not ask for the property details u/s. 154 . The same is applicable for the details of partnership firm. Any mistake apparent from the face of the records can only be rectified u/s. 154.
