25 August 2010 As per the assessee records no notice was received within stipulated time us 143(2) for scrutiny assessment of Ay08-09...however now the assessee has received notice from ITO for scrutiny details....whether this is a valid notice? can we verify the Income tax records for service of initial first notice?

25 August 2010 First notice u/s 143(2) must be received within the time limit for selection of scrutiny. If not received u can contest the same as the scrutiny assessment will be time barred.
