23 August 2013 Dear Sirs,

I have completed my CA Inter and now pursuing CA Final course.
I have the following experience:
3 years article-ship experience in CA Firm.
1 year accounting experience in a Private Companay
Now I am offered a job as "Trainee SAP Functional Consultant Buisness One"
Whether accepting the above position would be good?

24 August 2013 The first question you have to ask yourself - what is your aim in your career.
Do you want to work as a CA - practice, big 4, industry, accountant, finance.

If this is the aim - study v hard, clear your CA final and then look for a good opportunity.

If you want to work in technology, then SAP consulting is a great career too. But you must assess whether you can clear your exams as well. This MUST be your main aim.

First of all Thanks for replying me.

I want to Clear exams while doing career in SAP.

My doubt was if I choose SAP profession, whether this option with CA degree would be waste or not

25 August 2013 Not a waste - one of SAP's largest selling modules is FICO - you can use the knowledge and skills you have built while becoming an accountant to provide deep consulting in SAP.

Other modules like Materials, logistics will also be well served thru your CA knowledge and qualification
