I want to register a partnership firm. However the name of the firm contains the word 'COMPANY'. Is it possible to register a partnership firm with registrar of firms if its name contains the word 'COMPANY'.

Yes, there is no problem in the same.
you can use the word company, but you cannot use limited or private limited.
