28 April 2011 Proprietory concern having a fabrication unit in Tamilnadu and another unit in Maharshtra.
The concern is having VAT registration both in Mahrashtra and Tamilnadu.
Is Excise registration to be made seperately for Tamilnadu and Maharashtra OR a Single Registration is required?
Each unit turnover is less than Rs.1.50 Crores.
Pl clarify.

29 April 2011 Thanks Mr. Sudhakar for your reply. Since Turnover is less than Rs.1.50 crores in respective places, is ECxise regn. reqd.?
The item manufactured/ fabricated is Porta Cabins used by infrastructure Companies, Ralty Projects at their project sites as Office.Whais the excise rate applicable? Can we seek 1% duty as announced in the Budget 2011.

26 May 2011 as a propritory concern clearance of both units will be clubbed, and 1.5 cr exemption is after clubbing of both units, and you have to register yourself at both places at respective divisions, where your factories are situated.
