dear sir please explain about excise & payment date, return day with examples

In case of Monthly Liability:
you have to pay excise on or before 5th of next month and return has to file on or before 10th of next month

If SSI:
Quarterly Return in ER-3
Payment - on or before 5th of the next month following the quarter.
Retun - on or before 10th of the next month following the quarter
