Reduction in Articleship for PCC students

25 November 2010 what a disadvantage for PCC students as they have to do 3 and half yrs articleship. It is that only for those people who have registered during that 2 to 3 yrs i.e. for PCC have to do half yrs article ship extra and other i.e PE 2 as well as IPCC students are required to do only 3 yrs.
Dont u think it is unfair with PCC students.
Institute has to surely think on this matter..

25 November 2010 How can you say its unfair. Its both fair as well as unfair.

At the time of PE - 2 though we had articleship of 3 years the articleship started only after passing PE - 2 and not as your case of passing CPT. So effectively only CA Final exam from CA point of view was left to be done for the article whereas in your case after CPT your have two exams i. e. PCC & CA Final.

So you start your articleship in F. Y. B. Com. itself whereas in case of PE 2 we used to start by T. Y. So you have early start so that is compensated by extention by 6 months whereas your articleship (without extention) would complete after one year of completing BCOM whereas in the older version it was two years after BCOM minimum to three years depending upon clearing PE 2.

So i think institute is unfair to us and not to you.
