hello sir i want to know that what is the rate of excise duty currently. are rate of excise different for all manufacturers or there is any general rate of excise duty & also what is the criteria of applicability of excise duty

Rate of excise duty is varies from product to product. The rate of duty is to be confirmed from the Central Excise tariff. You can log on to Central excise tariff and find your excise tariff code first and you can find the rate of tax. In the meantime you can also countercheck with your central excise superintendent.
most of the product is under 8% excise duty at present + educational cess 2% + Secondary and Higher education cess 1% = Total 8.24%
