08 February 2009 I do not have knowledge abt stock market, can u provide me basic knowledge on stock market to understand it and what other things I do to gain knowledge on it ?

What does SENSEX and STOCK INDEX means and how they fluctuates , what r there effect on the market?

12 February 2009 The stock market is the place where the stcoks for various companies are traded. It is just like any other market.
It works on the same footing as that of any market i.e. demand and supply.

Sensex is the index [ indicator ] of entire stock market. It consists of 30 companies from various sectors. Each stock from the total 30 stocks have the weightage in the sensex.The movement in these stocks will determine the Sensex Level.
