Dear Expert,
What are the requirements to be fulfilled by an pvt ltd company regd in karnataka to deduct and pay professional tax?
Also, incase of employing an employee, whether the company has to intimate any govt deptt about his employment or needs to get him registerred under any law?

If you are an employer you have to register at the area PT office. Deduct PT at the prescribed rates from their salaries and pay to the PT office along with a return.Also,if you are a registered dealer you have to enroll your self under the same PT Act and pay PT at the applicable rates annually.Visit the web site www.PT.kar.nic.in for further details,forms,rates,office address etc.On the web site :www.ctax.kar.nic.in also by clicking on PT you can get the same information...mjk
