There is nothing special as to appoint a NRI as Director of the company...except you need few extra documents while applying for its DIN and then only will it be approved...the foll documents are required:-
1. One passport size photograph
2. Xerox of Passport duly attested by the Indian embassy in that country in which the person resides...
3. Identity proof like green card or international driving license duly attested by the embassy....
4. Verification as per DIN1...you will get the format on MCA site or post ur e-mail i.d, i will mail u the same...
5. Upload DIN-1 and the same will give u a provisional DIN no. because the same will be processed back end by the MCA and keep tracking whether it is approved or not...
6. once the DIN is approved..file form32 for his appointment.
