19 September 2010 I have recd a notice under sec 143(2) for my e return submitted on 27th July 09. The notice dated 18.08.10 is recd by me on 24.08.10 . the case has been selected under CASS

Is this notice valid and served in time ?

19 September 2010 Yes notice can be issued within 6 months from the end of the financial year in which return was filed and hence the same is in time.
