30 August 2017 Nil rated items are the items which are covered under GST but as of now no rate is assigned to it and thus NIL rated. When GSTR-1 is prepared, NIL rated items are to be included but not GST is payable on the same. Whereas in case of exempt items, it is not considered under the purview of GST
