is it mandatry to submitt the revenue figure to the excise department

is there any penalty or fine for nonsubmitting the revenue figure to the excise department

31 July 2009 It is mandatory to File ER-1 Returns on monthly basis ( If it is SSI it can be on quarterly basis) on or before 10th of the subsequent month. If not you will be issued show cause notice.

You can file the ER-1 returns online.

To know the Excise collection, Central excise department will be asking you orally about the aprx. duty debits and aprx. amount of the the TR-6 payments on 1st or 2nd itself. Though the same details will be given in the ER-1which is filed on 10th.
