01 July 2023 Although my amount u/s 80U is 0, I am getting the following validation error: "In Schedule VIA, deduction u/s 80U for self with severe disability cannot be more than the maximum limit of Rs.1,25,000". I have deleted 80U item, but am still getting this error.

01 July 2023 Yes, it is java version problem. Check if your java version on the system is compatible as per the system requirement defined in efiling portal. Or try filing online with different browser.

02 July 2023 Thank you. I found a work around.
Step 1: In Schedule VI-A, delete the item for 80U. Confirm.
Step 2: Log out.
Step 3: Login again.

Now the error disappears.

I was using Chrome and filing online.
