11 October 2013 Recently i have given an interview for industrial training. basically it was a bank. i didn't have any banking experience since i have never done any bank audit. it was clear in my resume that i have not done any bank audit n all. but at the time of interview, interviewer asked me all the question from banking sector which was very much technical. i didnt understand that, why they asked me questions of banking, when it was clear that i have not done any bank audit. but i gave answers for all there question on the basis of common sense. now my query, what did they exactly wanted to know by asking questions of the field in which i have never worked in.

please do reply with your opinions

11 October 2013 Baiscally they wanted to know even witout any exp how much knowledge u possess in banking sector so they can come to know whther you are suitable to them or not.

Secondly like u many others may have applied so it will help them for selecting appropriate candidates.

11 October 2013 Agree with Expert,

Question may ask:

About the The job and the company.

About yourself.

Previous Experience.

About your strengths and weaknesses.

Your Good and Bad Experience.

11 October 2013 Sir, question asked in that interview was so technical that even my senior Chartered holder was not able to answer them when i discussed the que. Questions were very much technical, Surprisingly they didn't asked any thing about my experience or any thing that is included in the course of CA.

11 October 2013 See basically they are in banking sector and if they want to make a good team then all the players in it should be well versed with fundamental and core knowledge in their business field which can help them to improve their efficiency.

They dont expect that you should know all the answers they ask but atleast 50-60% you should know what they asked...this is thier expectation.

11 October 2013 Hmmm,
My opinion would be do your homework before an interview..
Nowadays Execution is more important than Knowledge and Experience...
