09 June 2009 I own a house and earn income from hoarding on my roofs under which head will it be taken and please provide supporting reasons.

09 June 2009 You have earned income from letting of the roofs of the house property.
An income to be treated as "Income from House Property" requires letting out of the house having walls and roofs above it. In the above case as roofs have been let out, the income earned from the same has to be shown under " Income from Other Sources".
