I have purchased a house near by my work place and paying home loan for it. But my dependent parents are staying at rent in different place and I am paying rent for them. Can I claim both housing loan interest and HRA ?

09 May 2014 No u can claim interest on housing loan only as you are not actually staying in the place for which rent is being placed. Had it been vice versa there could be a possibility that you could claim both.
