Guys please suggest me plan of action to secure minimum 50 marks in costing FM and taxation for ipcc may 2016. whether practice manual is must for preparation..

Thorough reading and understanding of concepts in each topic is crucial. Keep practising problems from reference book(s), past examination etc. Take up mock test in exam condition.
Focus on theory questions in Costing and FM paper. In taxation, spend time on recent amendments, select case laws, revision test paper etc.
Practice manual is a compilation of past exam questions and it can help you understand the kind / variety of problems being asked in the recent past. There is nothing called it is a must, but covering it can help you fetch good marks as it is seen some times questions get picked directly from practice manual.
