How to extend the e way bill validity

29 July 2019 Goods were sold and transported with a e way bill on saturday. Goods to be send from Delhi to Ghaziabad. Transporter returns saturday evening as the route was not clear. Now what to do whether to cancel the E way bill and sale bill both?

29 July 2019 YOU CAN CANCEL YOUR SALES BILL
AND E-WAY BILL CAN CANCEL BY YOUR PARTY TO WHOM YOU SEND THIS GOODS,
REQUEST TO YOUR GHAZIABAD TO CANCEL E-WAY BILL.
I MEAN REJECT E-WAY BILL BY RECIPIENT.

IN GST YOU CAN SHOW YOUR CANCEL INVOICE,
SO WHY WE CAN USE OLD INVOICE.
