16 September 2013 Hi To All,

I am Accounts graduates and having 5+years exps in accounts upto finalization of accounts as per company act and also good knowledge of DVAT Service Tax TDS etc. what will be good to enhance my career as I am working I have already tried ICWAI but was not success so plz guide me which short term course will support me like IFRS, EMBA from distance, MBA (Fin) from distance, one year break for EMBA or CMA US. but as I am Average Student so I cant clear exams like CWA or CS. So suggest me any career which suit with my profile my company turnover in India is only 15cr and I independently handle its accounts and taxation and administration with support of a our auditor for filling compliance only

27 September 2013 It is difficult to digest, accounts graduate has less opprtuinities in current scenario (though exceptions are there for ITES industry in few cases or very very talented person).. I would recommend if you are falling under both then no problem..else prepare GMAT and take break for one year and pursue an EMBA in a reputed B-School like BIM,MDI,XLRI,XIMB etc. (not giving IIM ABC or ISB) the degree will do big impact in later years. Temorariily IFRS can be helpful. Distance MBA= waste of time. If you like internal audit, then pursue CIA from IIA USA which is easy to pass and can have entry to Big $ firms to make a career.
