Freezing of bank account

06 November 2012 Is the notice served by income tax department to the bank asking to freeze a bank account of an individual also applicable to other accounts where the individual is a joint holder only for safety purpose?
Pls provide case law references if any.

06 November 2012 Income Tax authority can freeze the bank account of assessee.

it is no matter whether it is individual account of joint account or saving account or current account.

so they can do so.
