08 July 2013 Hello ,
Im doin ma ca articleship in chennai. I have passed my CA ipcc in Feb 2013(ie: dec 2012 attempt). I have applied for The IGNOU Bcom. in dec 2012. I am planning to join the CS executive(direct entry for cpt passed students). Can i do these three courses at a time. Some say we cant and some say that the courses in open universities are exempt. Please advise me in this regard.

08 July 2013 u need to seek permision from icai wihin 1 month of reg of other course while u undergoing artislehsip in form 112.

but the thing here is that the ignou course im currently into is a distance course...
I have read in some posts that graduation distance courses can be done apart from two other professional courses!!!!
How can you justify this???

08 July 2013 Irrespective of distance course or otherwise as per regualtion to CA act u need to inform icai for pursuing other course during artcileship period.

There is no exemption provided by ICAI in this regard.

08 July 2013 1)permission to pursue ignou course is mandatory..

2)you are not eligible to pursue CS course only one additional course allowed during articleship.

if you want to pursue cs you need to inform icai that you will discontinue b.come and want to pursue CS only..so that icai will permit you for CS course
