If you've forgotten to generate an e-invoice within 24 hours, don't worry. While a GST consultant might suggest it's impossible, you can still generate the e-invoice after this period, provided it's before the GSTR 1 filing due date. However, failing to generate an Invoice Registration Number (IRN) means the tax invoice may not be considered valid under GST regulations.

No problem, you can generate e-invoice even after 24 hours, no time is prescribed, however, it can be raised within the due date for filing return in GSTR 1.

If e-invoice is applicable on you and you have not generated IRN then it will be considered that you have not issued invoice at all.
