24 August 2015 Hi

I worked in TCS before going for my MBA. I finished my MBA this year, June 2015. How should I file my ITR for FY2014-15 as I was studying at that time and had no income? I used to file the returns earlier when I was working in TCS. Please advise.

24 August 2015 Hi Ashish.
If your income for the year 2014-15 is less than Rs.2.5 lacs then you are not required to file the IT return.

But if you have been filing the returns earlier then it is recommended to file the IT return even if your income is less than 2.5 Lacs in that year. You can also file a NIL return if you do not have any Income in that year.

25 August 2015 But how can I file the return? I mean which form I should fill ITR1,2 which one will be applicable for me?

25 August 2015 Go for ITR 1. Fill all the details and in Income field put 0(zero). So that will be considered as Nil return.

But I am sure u must be having a Savings account and where you mush have receive Interest to show in other Income field of the Income tax return.
