ETDS Return for Q1 & Q2-2010

18 November 2010 WE are a private limited company. We have not deducted TDS on the payment made against Transportation charges. The total amt paid by us till now is Rs.186500 in FY 2010-11. Now I want to ask below questions.

1) Can we pay the TDS now ?

2)The transporation charges are paid to company who is now not ready to pay TDS..but we can pay TDS from our own pocket..will that be okay ?

3)The entire above mentioned amount has been paid before June-10, so the TDS on this will have to be considered in ETDS return for Q1 though we will pay this now ?? Pls clarify.

Pls provide me solution to the above queries ASAP.

2. You can pay TDS on your own
3. Yes. Only point is though you have deducted TDS during June 2010, you are paying the amount belatedly and hence interest will be levied.
