Error while resetting income tax password

24 August 2021 "Error: Something seems to have gone wrong while processing your request. Please try again. If error persists quote error number ITD-EXEC2002 when you contact customer care for quick resolution."
This error is coming whenever I try to reset a password in income tax portal.
Kindly guide me how to rectify it?
There is no guidance from customer care of Income tax portal in this regard.
