Does the Direct Tax Code bill propose to make receipts from existing life insurance policies on maturity taxable? That too as income in one year i.e. the year of receipt?

First it was proposed now it has been amended. So no tax on maturity. However this is as of date and any changes made in DTC will change the answer accordingly.
As of date no tax in DTC regime also.
