21 June 2012 I am doing CWA Intermediate. I want to know that is there any specific rule that if you give exam of both groups same time then only you get All India Rank else you'll not considered for it?

20 July 2024 Yes, CWA (Cost and Works Accountancy) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) refer to the same professional qualification. The course was initially known as CWA (Cost and Works Accountancy) under the provisions of the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959. However, in 2011, the institute governing this profession, The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), changed the name of the course to CMA (Cost Management Accounting) to better reflect the evolving role and scope of cost accountants in various sectors, including management accounting.

So, both CWA and CMA refer to the same course offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), which is now officially known as CMA. This course focuses on cost and management accounting principles and practices, preparing professionals to work in roles related to financial management, cost accounting, management accounting, and strategic planning in organizations.
