27 September 2012 sir,
I am newly qualified chartered accountant,and i want to creat partnership with a lawyer(practising in income tax sinse 20 years).Can i audit aud sign audit assignment in my ca capacity? kindly,help me what's the procedure and requirements need to be fulfilled.

27 September 2012 First of all u can not accept any other person as partner other than Chartered Accountant. Therefor U are not eligible to create partnership firm with lawyer.

With membership Number and having certificate of practice (COP), U can audit and certify the accounts.
For getting Membership, Apply in Form 2 for COP with Firm name as per your choice.
