Can you please suggest the steps to be taken for costing implementation in a manufacturing industry....

24 March 2009 Costing implementation is not a one shot answer.

But take care to ensure the below:
1. Study your production process
2. create material master accordingly which material you want to have variable price and which material you want to have standard price.
3. create cost centers
4. create profit centers
5. create costing sheet
6. Define overheads - Direct and Indirect

24 March 2009 Costing Implementation can't be explain without knowing about your industry, as it contains many question is to what type of method to be used for product costing which depends on produce characterstics and industry requirement.

Insted of asking hear, i will advice you to consult a person in this field directly face to face, and tell them in details about the process. or you can see any costing Book.
