Cop reapply

19 October 2012 Hi sirs/madams,
I was holding full time cop till january, however surrendered it as i went into employment. Now i want to reapply cop as i want to start my own practice. Please guide me with the procedure.. what all forms need to be filled in or whether just an application will suffice?

19 October 2012 Restoration of Certificate of Practice
(Regulation 11)

Eligibility:

Member whose Certificate of Practice has been cancelled on account of non-payment of Certificate of Practice fee for the relevant year and has paid the fee on or after 1 October is eligible for restoration of Certificate of Practice with retrospective effect provided Form 101 duly filled and signed has been
received from him on or before 31 March of the relevant financial year.

Requirements
(a) An application in Form 101 duly filled in and signed along with Certificate of Practice fee for the relevant year.

(b) Annual Membership fee has been paid on or before 30 September of the relevant year.

A letter restoring Certificate of Practice with retrospective effect will be issued only on compliance of the above. However, on restoration of certificate of practice, if member is sole proprietor/partner in a firm, he/she is required to file form 18 separately for revival of his/her CA firms.

20 October 2012 Dear Subhash,
Thanks for your prompt reply. However the form you mentioned is regarding restoration in cases where the COP was cancelled/ ceased to be in force, due to non payment of membership fees. The form itself says regarding request to restore COP from the date of its cancellation.

My point is that i went into employment after surrendering COP. so now i would be requesting the grant of cop from the date i quit the job.
So is there any other form in that case ?
