23 October 2017 Is it necessary to file DIR-12 in case of change in designation of a director of a Ltd. Company e.g. NED is re-designation as ID?

23 October 2017 Yes. You have to file a DIR-12 in case of change in designation also.

23 October 2017 No need to file Dir-2 any more since his name is already appearing in MCA record as a Director.Dir-12 contains only three categories of directors viz. executive,non-executive and chairman.Accordingly,for change in designation from NED to ID,no need to file DIR-12 or any other Return.MGT-14 need to b filed in case of re-appointment of ID for which special resolution is required to b filed.
