Cenvat credit after one year

25 February 2016 We are manufacturing concern. We have taken cenvat credit against bill of entry. However during cenvat reconciliation,we found cenvat credit was taken short by error. BOE date is one year before. Can we take additional credit in line with notification for rule 4, CCR.

11 March 2016 Difficult to buy your argument that you have take part credit and part is remaining, since Rule 4 clearly states that manufacturer shall not take credit after 1year. As a last resort you may write a letter to concern range of central excise informing that Cenvat figure are not correctly disclosed in return and please consider these amounts in that return.
