Cash balance certificate as on the date of statutory audit

13 June 2013 Can Anybody let me know about provision in any law/circular/notifications/guidelines in which it is stated that a govt company has to furnish Cash Balance Certificate as on the date of the audit.

I had Statutory Audit on 12th June 2013 for the FY 2012-13 and no reappointment is possible for that CA firm for FY 2013-14.

They Demanded me Phsical Verification of Cash as on Date I did and there was no difference found but they demaded me certificte of CAsh Balances as on 31/03/2013 and 12/06/2013 (as on date of audit) kindly share your knowledge in this regard

13 June 2013 They are asking just a certificate of Cash Balances as on 31st March 2013. They are not asking certificate of physical verification. Physical Verification of cash is the call of business.

14 June 2013 They asked certificate as on 31st mar 2013 as well as 12th june 2013.

14 June 2013 You can certify the balance on 31st March. There should not be any issues.
