08 May 2021 Can Society ask for money during the pandemic. they have ended up burdening themselves with lift repair,

now they want to get a new water supply line and the are asking each member to pay 12500. But as it is a pandemic situation it is difficult for people to pay.

08 May 2021 if you aren't able to pay the you can ask them to postpone the work

18 May 2021 The society can ask the payment from the members if the said charges are passed in the general body meeting of the society. In case of non availability of the funds, the member can request for payment in installment and waver of the interest for the delayed payment siting the reason for non or delay in payment.

11 October 2021 What do you do when the society has not followed the norms .letter written to the society but they have not given the proper answer regarding the water connection. The usually slack to take action but for the new water they did it with a blink of a eye. Few members suspect some wrong doings. Written to the registrar n police station. The water bill is in the builder name and not changed before handover. Builder not contactable. Listening to the plumber about water supply cut by midc they took another connection without closing midc connection. Water charges applied in maintenance but not paid to midc which will follow interest soon. And the deposit of 25000 not recoverable from midc. Solution to the society to get legal help but they are not listening and collected 12500 for new connection. People are not vocal out of 60. 14 are objecting. Due to pandemic hard for people to pay.Minutes are not clear so those who do not attend are not aware. After visiting the society office they were hiding about paying the water bill. After pressurizing they admitted not paying the water bill. They have collected the amt from member n not paid. So a lot of misappropriation of funds.
We demand audit but what needs to be done? Which authorities will be able to help?
