one of our client deriving salary income. his employer deducted excess tds. He has not filed his return. tax refundable comes to Rs.50000/-.
is their any way to claim refund ?

Normally return for AY 2009-10 is time barred now and cannot be filed. However in special cases an assessee can apply to CIT of his area for permission to file the return specifying reasons for non filing earlier.

Yes itr of a.y 2009-10 is time barred and can not be filled after 31.03.2011
