The interest paid on each of three different sums of money yielding 3%, 4% and 5% simple interest p.a. respectively is the same. The average yield per cent on the total sum invested is.....?

Let us assume any number to be the amount yielded in each investment...
I am assuming it to be Rs. 5/-
Now
Total Return = Rs. 5 X 3 Investments = Rs. 15
Total Investment = 5/3% + 5/4% + 5/5% = Rs.391.66
Consolidated Yield = 100 X 15 / 391.66 = 3.83%
I am assuming it to be Rs. 5/-
Now
Total Return = Rs. 5 X 3 Investments = Rs. 15
Total Investment = 5/3% + 5/4% + 5/5% = Rs.391.66
Consolidated Yield = 100 X 15 / 391.66 = 3.83%
