HI
i want to know whether it is good to go for articleship under top firms or medium level firms ? my reason of asking it is that i got to know that in big firms like big4 there is a lot of burden of work and main thing is that article get trained only in a particular task since there are lot of CAs in such firms and they have to perform only a certain task so the article will.
in mid level firm if there is only 3 CAs then they will perform the all tasks

yes you say correct, in my opinion also you go medimum level firm becoz on this firm you get knowledge more then one department (like service tax, income tax, execise, letter prepration, vat, etc.) this is required to survive your practise because when client is come front of you then you have knowledge all of them
and first one in big four, which give you speciliazation in one subject, this is your indentification no doubt initially you face probleim but one your identity is know all of them, like who is the best service tax practicner then your name comes out

i think that it will be better that in first to years i go for mid. firms and then in third year go for big firm ?
