sir/madam
my articleship is due to complete on 12th august 2010 as per the letter issued by ICAI.my CA wants to extend my training by 60 days.According to my calculation my training should be etended by 13 days only.
please tell if my calculation is correct or not and whether my CA can extend my trainig as per his wishes.
total leaves taken 247
less:leaves allowed 180
less:examination days 36
(3 attempts given)
less:sundays during preparatory leaves 18

In point 5 it is stated that examination days will not be considered as leave days.
So coming to your calculation:
Total leaves taken 247
Less: leaves allowed 180
Less: examination days 36
(3 attempts given)
Less:sundays during preparatory leaves 0
EXTENTION PERIOD 31 DAYS
So extension will be for 31 days and not 13 days as per ur calculation and not even 60 days as per ur principal.
When u are paid even for not working on sundays how can u exclude sundays for calculation of leave period. So sundays not excludable during leave period also.
