30 May 2014 Hello members,
The new companies act states that"A company needs to hold a minimum number of four
meetings of its Board of Directors every year in such a manner that not more than one
hundred and twenty days shall intervene between two consecutive meetings of the Board"
I want to confirm can a company hold all 4 board meeting itself in Quarter 4

30 May 2014 you can have n no of meetings provided that u have to fulfil the said criteria....

it provides min, no of meetings not max no

30 May 2014 The min number is 4, Can i hold all 4 meeting in a single quarter or a single month and do not hold meetings in remaining 11 months

30 May 2014 Dear Mr. Ankit,
The act states that not more than 120 days has elapsed between 2 consecutive meetings. Here the elapsed time between 2 meeting is less than 120 days, if i hold all 4 meetings in a single quarter.
