01 May 2011 in case of scrutiny of an individual, is the assessee required to provide bank statements of accounts where he is a second joint holder?

01 May 2011 Yes, Details are required to submit all the accounts of the assessee.

03 May 2011 i hold an account jointly with my brother where my brother is the first/primary account holder and the interest from the a/c accrues on his name.

Will i have to provide details of this account as well? i have 3 other accounts where i am the first account holder. Is submitting the details of these 3 accounts not enough?

13 May 2011 The details of all the accounts needs to be submitted whether you are single holder or whether joint holder (may it be primary or secondary or even third joint holder).
