if some errors are found in auditors report by company which might have harmed the company.will auditor be held responsible even if he has performed his work honestly

If the auditor can show that he has done his audit wiht due diligence and he was not aware of thr fraud and he had adequate documentation to rely on to do the audit then he could be spared.
