15 July 2012 My Friend registered for CA course in 1998 and completed articleship in 2001 under old course(CA inter- PEII) and cleared one group of intermediate and stopped answering. Whether can he appear for 2nd group of IPCC directly or any formalities to be completed?

16 July 2012 your friend has to convert from old to new scheme of examination by applying in prescribed form and by paying conversion fee. Ask him to contact nearest ICAI chapter office.
