Dear Sir
I want to know, if I have the details of an individaul or company or firm, is it possible to know his / its PAN or TAN in any website. particularly the TAN No. which is required to be mentioned while filing the returns & if the TAN number given in the certificate is not clear or so. whether it should be enquired with the deductor himself or is it possible or available in website.

dont worry. if u want to know the PAN or TAN of any person u can logon to incometaxindia.gov.in and go to know ur PAN/TAN link. for PAN u must knw the correct name, date of birth and father's name in case of need. for TAN u can search by name of the individual or firm or company.
